Conflict transformation is a complex process, involving changing the relationships, interests, discourses and underlying structures that encourage and condition violent political conflict. In our research work we address the deeply rooted structural causes of conflict, and seek particularly to develop innovative approaches to the peaceful transformation of violent and protracted social conflict. While our core interest is applied research, we also host PhD projects that contribute to relevant theoretical debates.
