Latin America Programme
Lisa Bogerts is a programme manager in the Berghof Latin America Program. Before joining Berghof, she worked as the managing editor of an academic journal on international politics as well as the managing director and board member of the German Association for Peace and Conflict Studies (AFK). In her PhD, Lisa examined artistic activism and resistance in Latin American metropolises. Her research focuses on visual communication, power relations, and political protest. She is a member of the Berlin Institute for Social Movement Studies (ipb) and was a research fellow at Goethe University Frankfurt and University of Augsburg. Lisa holds an M.A. in International Relations/peace and conflict studies and a B.A. in political science and communication studies. She interned, inter alia, in the German Embassy in Panama and in a project for strengthening the rule of law in Colombia by the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ).
