Latin America Programme
Dr Lisa Bogerts is Programme Manager in the Latin America Programme. Prior to joining Berghof, she worked as managing editor of a journal for international politics and as managing director and board member of the German Association for Peace and Conflict Studies (AFK). She wrote her dissertation on political resistance, visual communication and artistic activism in Latin America at the Cluster of Excellence "Normative Orders" of the Goethe University Frankfurt and the New School for Social Research, New York City. Lisa is a member of the Berlin Institute for Protest and Movement Research (ipb) and was a research assistant at the Universities of Frankfurt and Augsburg. During her studies in Peace and Conflict Research (M.A.) and Political Science and Communication Studies (B.A.), she worked at the German Embassy in Panama, the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) as well as in GIZ projects on strengthening the rule of law in Colombia and the African Union´s Peace and Security Department.
