Martina Fischer, Programme Director Southeast Europe, participated in the 35th German Protestant Kirchentag (DEKT) in Stuttgart in her role as a member of the DEKT Steering Committee.
Martina Fischer conceptualized and moderated an international panel on “Guilt and Reconciliation in Social Conflicts”, which attracted the interest of 800 participants. With Professor Brandon Hamber (INCORE) and Professor Andreas Hasenclever (University of Tübingen) also two longstanding partners of the Berghof Foundation were amongst the panelists.
Martina Fischer also moderated a discussion on “Defending Human Rights on the global level” with Salil Shetty (Secretary General, Amnesty International) and Alice Nkom, a human rights activist and lawyer from Cameroon. Some 2,000 guests attended this event in the Porsche-Arena.
