Latin America Programme
Anne Dirnstorfer is Project Manager for Local Dialogue at the Berghof Foundation’s Latin America Programme. Previously, she worked as a mediator for the CSSP - Berlin Center for Integrative Mediation in the field of reconciliation and theatre-facilitated dialogue (2014-2017). Her focus was on designing storytelling and performance processes supporting the reintegration of ex-combatants in Nepal.
She started her career working for the EduPaz project building capacities of peace activists from Central America and Colombia together with the Instituto Paulo Freire and InWEnt (2005-2008). Afterwards she gathered 5 years of experience as a regional trainer on conflict transformation, forum theatre and mediation in the Civil Peace Service Programme of the GIZ, based in Nepal (2009-2014). During that period, she also conducted trainings to support theatre dialogues on dealing with the past in Cambodia.
Anne holds an MA in Social Science from the Humboldt University of Berlin, and received professional training in mediation and applied theatre. Her special focus is to combine creative approaches with dialogue and conflict transformation. She also works as freelance trainer for the Academy for Conflict Transformation in Königswinter and is a Board Member of OWEN.
