The Africa Programme supports dialogue processes with the overall aim of transforming armed struggle to political compromise. The Programme’s engagement spans regional high-level political dialogue, civil-society stakeholder forums, and grass-roots dialogue and reconciliation. Currently active in Sudan, South Sudan, Ethiopia, Somalia, and in cross-regional initiatives, the Berghof Foundation cooperates closely with the German Federal Foreign Office and the African Union, as well as various stakeholders on the ground.
