Evelyn Pauls is a researcher for the project ‘From Female Combatants to Post-War Democratic Leaders’ since October 2018. Prior to joining Berghof, she completed her PhD at the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Her PhD focused on international advocacy on child soldiers in (post-) conflict settings, especially the role of International Organisations and NGOs in effecting sustainable change in policy and practice for which she has conducted fieldwork in Sierra Leone and Myanmar. She was also the editor of the Millennium Journal of International Studies and a visiting researcher at the National University of Singapore.

Evelyn holds an MPhil in International Relations from the University of Oxford and a BA in Political Science and Public Law from the University of Mannheim.
